Around the Licihof: meadows, forest and sea

The Licihof lies in Lībagi in Kurzeme, the western region of Latvia, about a 12-minute drive from Talsi. What this page says about the surroundings is based on the property's own photographs; distances and driving times are taken from the Licihof's Airbnb listing.

Just outside

The plot borders open ground. The photographs show mown meadows, rapeseed fields in bloom to the horizon in spring, cereals in summer, harvested fields in autumn, and morning mist standing between single trees.

As for wildlife, the photographs show white storks on the mown ground, and bolete mushrooms among moss and bilberry plants.

Water: lake and river

The property's own photographs include a lake with a wooden boardwalk along the shore, water-lily leaves and reeds, and a second lake in backlight with a broad belt of reeds.

A river runs over a flat, broad stone sill and forms rapids in doing so; reeds and deciduous woodland stand on both banks. Near the water, one photograph shows a multi-arched bridge of red brick.

Exactly which bodies of water and which bridge these are is not something we can substantiate. The photographic material carries no location for them, and we will not insert a name that merely sounds plausible.

These are driving times by car, not straight-line distances or road distances in kilometres. This page still does not name specific attractions with opening hours — we lack verified sources for that beyond the Airbnb listing.
